Go-to-High School, Go-to-College

Dear High School Principals, Guidance Counselors and Community Partners,

The BSL Educational Foundation Inc. is interested in community leadership, not only for today but for tomorrow as well. In a very few years, the students in your school will be assuming some of your community’s leadership roles; we know that you are training them for the task.

The BSL Educational Foundation Inc. would like to help. The event, described below, and all its associated materials and food are FREE!

We invite your students to participate in our “Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College” Annual College Readiness Conference, which will be held at the University of Hartford on Saturday, April 20th. The “Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College” program, established in 1922, concentrates on the importance of completing secondary and collegiate education as a road to advancement. Statistics prove the value of this extra impetus in making a difference in the success of young people, given that school completion is the single best predictor of future economic success. Through the “Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College” education initiative, young men and women will receive information and learn strategies that facilitate success.

The Ask:

Please select students from your school who would best benefit from this unique and powerful experience. Please remember that this program is designed to allow students to develop leadership skills and acquire the characteristics, attributes, and attitudes needed for success in the workplace and higher education. Once you have selected the students from your school who you feel best to meet this profile, please encourage them to fill out the application form: http://www.bsleducation.org/programs/go-to-high-school-go-to-college/
